Eldense by acquiring 100 per cent of its shares from majority shareholder TH Soluciones Group S.A.S. The completion of the takeover remains pending final legal and contractual procedures, due diligence, and mandatory authorisation from Spain's High Council for Sports. If finalised, Eldense will mark the second Spanish club in the 39-year-old's investment portfolio, following his acquisition of fifth-tier side UE Cornella in April. C.D. Eldense currently occupy 20th place in the Segunda Division standings, having successfully risen through Spain's regional divisions in recent years. The business venture coincides with Messi continuing his club career in the United States, having recently announced his retirement from international football following Argentina's World Cup final loss to Spain.
