Warner Glenn, a rancher and hunting guide, was hunting mountain lions on March 7, 1996, in the Peloncillo Mountains on the Arizona, New Mexico border when his pack of hounds cornered a large cat that he later discovered was a jaguar. He photographed the animal, and his images are recognized as the first ever taken of a wild jaguar in the United States.
