Paintings stolen after thieves raid Renoir museum in France

The raiders initially took four paintings from the museum shortly before 6am before being spotted by police. Officers gave chase, causing the thieves to drop one artwork, though they escaped with the remaining three paintings. Cagnes-sur-Mer Mayor Bryan Masson condemned the burglary, describing it as a serious attack on the town's history and heritage. The stolen works have not yet been identified from the museum's collection, which includes 13 original paintings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
