KFC taps former Taco Bell exec to overhaul global loyalty and brand strategy

Durini will oversee global brand strategy, loyalty, retail, and new concept development as the chain seeks to modernize its brand. The fast-food company is aiming to strengthen its U.S. market position against rivals like Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's following a June rebranding initiative. KFC's recent rebrand features a refreshed logo, store redesigns, new dipping sauces, boneless chicken items, and a new beverage line called Kwench by KFC. In addition to KFC's overhaul, parent company Yum Brands recently completed the $2.7 billion sale of Pizza Hut.
