Hotels up to 12 storeys tall could be built at pubs across Brisbane in a bid to boost short-term accommodation ahead of the 2032 Olympics.

A site once earmarked for an Olympic village will instead be redeveloped with thousands of apartments, adding to an already crowded construction pipeline.
