West Bengal cabinet approves remuneration hike of over one lakh staff

West Bengal government will enhance employee remuneration benefiting over one lakh people. Forest officials and volunteers will see increased monthly payments starting soon. Former MLAs' medical allowance is also being raised significantly from August. Primary and upper primary para teachers will receive a substantial pay hike. A bill for inter-university staff transfers will be presented in assembly.
