Who is Athira Suresh, the NIT Calicut grad who left ExxonMobil for the Indian Army?

Lieutenant Athira Suresh from Kozhikode, Kerala, was commissioned into the Indian Army on September 5, 2026, after leaving her job as a Project Controls Engineer at ExxonMobil. A Civil Engineering graduate from NIT Calicut, she joins a family with three generations of military service. She trained at OTA Gaya's SSC Technical (Women) course, part of a passing-out parade that commissioned 595 new officers across two academies that day.
