Jamaica is pushing for Britain to pay reparations for the trans-Atlantic slave trade. On Monday, the Caribbean nation petitioned King Charles III to refer questions about slavery and the U.K.'

The petition will ask Charles, as Jamaica's head of state, to refer three questions about transatlantic chattel slavery to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
