Eleven dead after consuming spurious liquor in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district

Eleven people died and 54 fell ill from spurious liquor consumption. The illicit alcohol was reportedly supplied from Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities suspended excise and police officials in connection with the tragedy. Three separate FIRs have been registered based on victims' families' complaints. The district administration sealed seven liquor shops as a precautionary measure.
