The body of convicted Bosnian Serb war criminal Ratko Mladic was returned to Serbia with military honors on Sept. 3, drawing condemnation from European officials and renewed scrutiny of Belgrade’s handling of his funeral.

Ratko Mladic received a life sentence from a UN court for committing atrocities during the 1992-1995 Bosnian War.

Huge funeral expected for the ‘Butcher of Bosnia’, who died last week in a UN detention facility aged 84.
