Flight refund credited to Goibibo wallet, but passenger didn't get the money: Court orders Rs 1.34 lakh payout

Goibibo has been ordered to pay a total of over Rs 1.34 lakh for failing to refund cancelled flight tickets. This includes a refund of Rs 49,107 along with interest and additional compensation of Rs 50,000. The commission found Goibibo liable for passenger refunds despite its claim that it was only an intermediary. It ruled that crediting refunds to GoCash wallets without the passengers' consent was inadequate.
