An army of experts in a WhatsApp group is guiding rescue workers scouring a Nepali valley after a huge flash flood more than a week ago as they desperately search for anyone who may be alive inside tunnels of devastated hydropower plants.

Tunnel expert Arnold Dix says large underground areas may have sheltered workers from the devastation, as rescue work continues in hydropower sites.

Rescue teams in Nepal and Tibet are continuing to search through mud, rocks and debris after catastrophic floods hit the region in late August.
