With a vision to revolutionise education in West Bengal, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari plans to launch one thousand Vidya Bharati schools statewide. He suggested merging the state's four educational departments under one umbrella to enhance efficiency. Adhikari slammed the former government for its detrimental impact on education, advocating for Vidya Bharati to instill a sense of nationalism and increase its presence in key districts.

The chief minister also threatened to stop government aid for educational institutes if they refused to sing the full version of ‘Vande Mataram’.
