More and more Republicans want Trump to get rid of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Dan Driscoll had been rumored to step down at some point between now and the end of the year but the White House announced his departure Monday.

The president was reportedly shocked when Driscoll told him the extent of Hegseth’s actions.

The Army secretary told Trump about problems in the Army and his friction with Hegseth, then resigned.

Army Secretary Dan Driscoll's resignation makes him the latest senior military and civilian leader to get pushed out of their job.
