A first for India at Asian Games: Safeguarding Officer to tackle abuse or neglect

Neetal Narang will serve as India's first Safeguarding Officer at the Asian Games. She will be the athletes' primary contact for harassment and abuse concerns. This role is mandatory for the Olympic Council of Asia's events. India will send 503 athletes to compete in 36 different sports. The contingent's support staff includes a limited number of women.
