Mahanadi Coalfields has filed its DRHP for an IPO comprising an OFS of up to 66.18 crore shares by promoter Coal India. The proposed listing will give investors direct exposure to one of Indias largest non-coking coal producers, backed by substantial reserves and established mining infrastructure.

Chairman B Sairam said both subsidiary IPOs are planned by year-end, with the exact timing dependent on market conditions and government directives.

Coal India will sell a 10% stake in Mahanadi Coalfields through an IPO, with up to 661.8 million existing shares offered by the parent.
