Jump to contentAllNewsSportCultureLifestyleThe judge in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial has ordered the jury to keep deliberating after they signaled that they can’t reach a unanimous decision.Jurors sent a note to Judge William Sullivan Tuesday morning, on the fourth day of deliberations, saying that they have not been able to come to a decision on whether she’s guilty.The judge sent the jury back to the deliberation room, saying, “I know that this was a long trial, all right. I know there were over 80 witnesses. There were over 300 exhibits. But because of that, I’m going to ask you to go back out.”The jury could convict Clancy of murder or manslaughter in the deaths of her three young children, or acquit her if jurors believe her deteriorating mental health was to blame. A conviction could lead to a life prison sentence.
