A 47-year-old woman from Maharashtras Beed district has won the Amrut Daud marathon in Ambajogai after running barefoot when her slippers began slipping on the muddy track. Ramabai Ranveer, a domestic cook and sole breadwinner, defeated younger participants and won Rs 3,000. She plans to put the prize money towards the education of her two daughters.
