Finnish deep-tech startup S-Transistors—a spin-off from the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland—has raised €2.6 million ($3M USD) in pre-seed funding. Led by Nordic venture firm Lifeline Ventures with participation from angel investors, the capital will fund the construction of a pilot manufacturing line, a dedicated cryogenic laboratory, product prototyping, and team expansion. The company is pioneering wafer-scale superconducting transistors designed to operate at millikelvin (mK) temperatures to solve the physical wiring and thermal dissipation bottlenecks limiting large-scale quantum computers.
