Time of strategic churn; threat perception evolving, posing new challenges: Admiral Swaminathan

Navy chief Admiral Krishna Swaminathan noted significant strategic churn and increasing maritime contestation. He stated that threat perceptions are constantly evolving with new challenges. This occurred after the commissioning of the deep-sea diving vessel INS Nipun in Mumbai. The vessel supports diving operations up to 300 metres and offers rapid submarine rescue. INS Nipun can also be deployed for disaster relief and humanitarian operations.
