Trump said the U.S. will use Venezuelan oil to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, calling it a “Gift” while blaming Biden for depleting the stockpile.

The U.S. struck a deal with Venezuela to get majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of oil reserves, Trump said in a social media post.

The President has sought American control over the South American nation's reserves since it deposed dictator Nicolas Maduro earlier this year in Operation Absolute Resolve.

The agreement would give the US control of 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil
