Canada's electronic travel authorization, or eTA, is now required for many air travellers. This authorization costs seven Canadian dollars and is linked to a passport. Most eTA applications are processed quickly, though some may take longer. Indian passport holders generally need a visitor visa and cannot use an eTA. US citizens and permanent residents are exempt from needing an eTA.
