NEW DELHI: Singapore Airlines (SIA), which holds 25.1% stake in Air India (AI), Thursday said it will “carefully consider any requests for additional capital from AI, taking into consideration the group’s other capital requirements and AI’s business strategy.” A SIA spokesperson said the airline will “work with Tata Sons to support AI’s transformation programme as a significant minority shareholder.” Tatas hold the remaining 74.9% stake in AI.
