Practical Magic stars Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest have reunited almost 30 years later for its sequel. The 2026 film sees sisters Gillian and Sally Owens (played by Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock respectively) take on a multi-generational curse threatening their family. When asked why she believed the movie's sequel was greenlit, Channing told The Independent: " I think there was, for some unknown reason, this great appreciation of the original. Which literally in dollars and cents led Warner Brothers to decide it was worth another shot." Of their favourite memories on set between both films, she added: "It was just the ease. It was a lovely time in life. It was an ease on the set with other women."
