Utah's Timpanogos Rock Glacier looks like a rocky pile but conceals a massive ice-rich core. A new study estimates 1.55 million cubic metres of ice beneath its surface, roughly the volume of Egypt's Great Pyramid, after researchers used 232 gravity measurements to create a 3D model of the hidden glacier.
