Vale's New York shares fell 1.11% while China's Dalian iron ore contract firmed. Seaborne 61% fines rose to US$98.00 a tonne.

Vale rose 2.53% on Friday as Chinese mills kept restocking iron ore despite weak steel margins. CSN Mineração and Rio Tinto also gained.
