Elon Musk’s SpaceX has announced its plans to build its largest rocket launch complex in southern Louisiana, a $100 billion project which claims to transform costal wetlands into a critical base for Starship and AI satellite launches. SpaceX posted about this announcement on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), “Introducing Starbase, Louisiana – a high-cadence launch site that will enable Starship to open a pathway to the stars for humanity.

The new 125,000-acre site will support “thousands” of Starship flights each year, SpaceX said.
