Darline Graham, sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, won the Republican primary runoff in South Carolina for U.S. Senate on Tuesday, according to U.S. media projections, in a triumph for U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Trump-endorsed senator and political neophyte is in an unpredictable Aug. 25 Republican special primary runoff election against Rep. Ralph Norman.

Graham has said outsider status is a plus, while pointing to Trump’s backing.
