Country music singer Dolly Parton’s death at the age of 80, was announced in a video at her request, her nephew Brian Seaver revealed. The beloved singer-songwriter asked her nephew to post her death announcement to fans in a special video “years ago”, Mr Seaver revealed. Speaking directly to the camera in the video posted on Tuesday (25 August), Mr Seaver shared: “This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago before I fully absorbed it as a future reality.” He continued: “It is an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly. “Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus.” Mr Seaver ends the video, stating: “She will always love you.”
