The 20-year-old victim was stabbed five times in the chest on 3 February following a fallout over a perceived £6,000 debt and a fake Rolex watch. Dennis claimed he acted in self-defence after being given a counterfeit watch to sell, but prosecutors argued he launched the attack out of grievance over the money. Following a two-week trial at Leicester Crown Court, Dennis was acquitted of murder but convicted of manslaughter, weapon possession, and failing to provide his phone PIN. Police described the fatal attack as a completely disproportionate response to a minor dispute, with Dennis scheduled to be sentenced later on Tuesday.
