Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced a major ₹2,500 crore water and sewerage infrastructure push, aimed at addressing the capital’s long-standing water supply and sewage challenges. Under the Urban Challenge Fund, Delhi will also undertake projects including Underground Reservoirs (UGRs), expanded water-line networks and comprehensive DMA metering. Gupta said the projects are aimed at strengthening Delhi’s water infrastructure and improving access to reliable water supply.
