Officers attempted to stop a black Audi on Birmingham Road at around 5.23pm before the vehicle failed to stop and fled. The Audi subsequently collided with a white Ford Puma on the A439 Warwick Road at around 5.44pm, damaging several other vehicles. The male driver of the Audi was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female driver of the Ford Puma was taken to hospital. Warwickshire Police has referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which has launched an independent investigation.
