One Nation, One Election: States can decide on early dissolution, says P.P. Chaudhary

P.P. Chaudhary, chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the ‘One Nation, One Election’ Bills, said the panel cannot curtail the terms of existing State Assemblies. He said States could choose to dissolve their Assemblies and align their elections with the Lok Sabha once the proposed law comes into effect.
