Russian president Putin assures India of uninterrupted supply of energy, fertilisers

Russia has assured India of uninterrupted supplies of energy and fertilisers amid disruptions from the West Asia crisis, as External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Jaishankar and Russian officials also discussed expanding economic ties. Bilateral trade has nearly quadrupled from $13 billion in FY22 to almost $60 billion in FY26, but the trade imbalance has widened sharply from $6.6 billion to over $50 billion.
