A pint-sized pitch invader interrupted a Major League Soccer (MLS) game between Minnesota United and the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday (22 August). A toddler wandered onto the field, momentarily halting the match during second-half stoppage time at San Jose's PayPal Park. It was unclear how the youngster made their way onto the pitch. According to a statement on the MLS website, the youngster was quickly escorted off the field before Minnesota secured a 5-1 victory.
