In an effort to alleviate living costs, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has announced new initiatives including fare-free bus travel for women and the distribution of three free cooking gas cylinders per year to qualifying families. The fare-free bus service is set to launch on October 2, while the gas cylinder program will kick off in January 2027.
