Texas seventh-grader Caden Pohlkamp built an underwater robot to study 12 neighborhood ponds and investigate what makes water healthier. His research found a surprising link between fountains, dissolved oxygen and aquatic habitats, earning him recognition as a 2025 Junior Innovators Challenge finalist. He communicated his findings to officials, so they could act on any unhealthy ponds.
