CARSPO 2026: Policing the Path for 2027 Election Security

As Nigeria inches closer to the 2027 General Elections, the Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with Lenders Consult International, is once again convening the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers (CARSPO), this time with electoral security squarely in focus. The sixth edition, holding September 21 to 23, 2026, in Owerri, Imo State, will bring senior police officers together under the theme “Developing a Nigeria Police Roadmap for Effective Management of Security During Elections,” aiming to concretise strategy for protecting voters, personnel and materials ahead of the 2027 general elections.
