The Nigerian Army has said its troops of the Joint Task Force South East, Operation UDO KA, raided suspected strongholds of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militant wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, recovering firearms, motorcycles and materials suspected to be used for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The operation was carried out on Saturday, August 22, 2026, by troops in collaboration with the military's Maritime Component, Department of State Services (DSS) and the Anambra Vigilante Group.
