Train services across the UK have been cancelled after a power cut at CrossCountry's control centre in Birmingham disrupted systems used to manage its railway network.

Cross Country services going to Edinburgh, Sheffield, Manchester, Bristol, Exeter, Penzance, Cardiff and Bournemouth have been cancelled until further notice

The company, which runs trains all over Britain, said that 'services across almost all routes will be withdrawn until further notice' and warned of 'significant disruption'.
