Police give emotional tribute after A66 crash kills seven, including two officers

Cleveland Police Chief Constable Victoria Fuller gave an emotional update after seven people, including two police officers, died in a crash. The incident happened during a police pursuit in the early hours of Saturday morning on the A66 near Middlesbrough. (22 August)  “This morning, a Volkswagen Passat that was traveling the wrong way down the A66 has collided with a marked Cleveland Police armed response vehicle, which was traveling on the correct side of the road” The Chief Constable said during a press conference on Saturday afternoon.
