DAMASCUS: Syria said an Israeli strike near the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights wounded one person on Saturday, days after Israel’s army chief said the military would not allow threats to “establish themselves” on the border. Syrian state television said one person was wounded “in the Israeli occupation drone targeting of a vehicle” in the village of Beit Jinn, located southwest of Damascus. When contacted by AFP, the Israeli military said it was “checking” the reports.
