Part of A66 closed after multiple people die in early-morning crash

The fatal crash occurred at around 3.39am on Saturday on the A66 in South Bank, near Middlesbrough. Cleveland Police said that a significant emergency service response is present at the scene. The A66 has been closed in both directions between Normanby Road and Church Lane and is expected to remain closed for some time.
