‘Sava’s Titanic,’ the century-old sunken shipwreck emerges as Europe’s rivers fall to record lows

A century-old shipwreck has resurfaced from the Sava River in Serbia as an intense drought leaves waterways across Europe at exceptionally low levels. The rusting remains of the Slovenian, a steam tugboat built in 1913, emerged near the Serbian town of Sremska Mitrovica earlier in August, revealing far more of the vessel than locals have seen in years.
