South African fixed wireless connectivity and private network operator Comsol is entering the home broadband market as a wholesale provider of 5G infrastructure, backed by two new shareholders. The entrance of Platform Investment Partners and privately held investment company Wimsey Capital followed the exit of Nedbank Private Equity from its investment in Comsol.

The company targets a nationwide 5G home broadband network of base stations, with more than one million Gauteng households already covered.
