The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has announced a fresh set of measures to tackle air pollution across Delhi-NCR. From EV-only registration for N1 vehicles in Delhi from January 2027 to phased restrictions on N2 vehicles, the new directions target vehicular emissions. CAQM has also made dust-control measures mandatory for stone crushers, including video surveillance, cloud-based PM2.5/PM10 sensors and wheel-washing facilities. The commission also reviewed winter action plans, air-pollution R&D projects and efforts to tackle traffic congestion at Delhi’s pollution hotspots.

The order also states that no new diesel or petrol N1 LGV will be allowed to be registered in the rest of NCR from January 1, 2028. | Latest News Delhi
