Mumbai suburban rail network to get 238 AC EMU rakes by 2030

Indian Railways will prioritise manufacturing 238 AC EMU rakes for Mumbais suburban network, with production beginning in 2027 and the full fleet due by 2030. ICF will build 120 rakes, RCF 71 and MCF 47. The move aims to synchronise rolling stock availability with infrastructure commissioned under MUTP.
