The 18-month Nature and Us exhibition features 50 remarkable objects exploring humanity's evolving relationship with the natural world. Key items on display include a miniature Crystal Palace dinosaur model, a Victorian monk seal skeleton, and a 400,000-year-old hand axe. The initiative forms part of the NHM150 transformation project, which aims to unveil a new or revitalised gallery annually leading up to the museum's 150th anniversary in 2031. Located on the second floor of the Waterhouse building, the experimental space allows visitors to provide feedback that will shape a permanent gallery scheduled to open in 2029.
