Lucy Davis said the response to her cancer announcement has been “overwhelming”, as she shared a light-hearted video of her attempting to skateboard. On Tuesday (11 August), the actor, 53, revealed that she has been diagnosed with incurable breast cancer, adding that "it is too late for chemotherapy”. In an Instagram post, The Office star thanked family, friends and fans for the “kindness and support” she has received in the past few days. “Truly, I am in shock,” she said, before clarifying that she is “still alive” after “a couple of people slightly misread the news and commented RIP”. Her words of gratitude came alongside a video of her trying to skateboard, which she said continues to make her laugh as it made her realise she has “no sporting ability whatsoever”.
