R Madhavan, who portrays G.D. Naidu in G.D.N., highlighted five inventions by the Coimbatore-based innovator: a 1925 mechanical calculator, 1936 vote recording machine, 1935 Rasant electric razor, 1937 electric motor and coil spring juicer. Naidu reportedly also developed electronic calculators, radios, vending machines and other devices. G.D.N., based on his life, released worldwide on August 7, 2026.
